A Trial Balloon, LLC operates this website and provides company-level billing and support for the products listed here. Product-specific privacy policies supplement this policy and describe the data required by each service.

This website
This is a read-only information site. It has no account system, contact form, analytics script, advertising pixel, or cookie. It does not collect payment information.
Our hosting and web-proxy infrastructure can temporarily process ordinary request information such as an IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser user agent, and security or error details. We use that information only to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Our products and services
The product you choose determines what information is needed. Depending on the product, this can include:
- Account information: name, email address, password hash, role, and account settings.
- Product content: project information in Comovamos; questions, research artifacts, scripts, audio, and private-feed settings in Hilo; or coaching intake and scheduling information.
- Billing records: customer and subscription identifiers, billing address, plan, payment status, receipts, and charge history. Payment providers receive card details directly; our applications do not store full card numbers.
- Communications: support emails, service messages, newsletter preferences, and delivery records.
- Security information: session identifiers, limited network records, abuse-prevention counters, and technical error reports.
We use this information to provide the requested product, operate accounts and billing, deliver communications, keep services secure, comply with law, and resolve support requests. We do not sell personal information or share it for behavioral advertising.
Service providers
We use service providers only for specific operating needs. They can include Stripe for payments and billing; Memberful for editorial membership; DigitalOcean for hosting and backups; Resend for email delivery; Sentry for bounded technical error reporting; Calendly for coaching scheduling; and the research, search, and narration providers identified in Hilo’s policy.
Each provider receives only the information required for its role. Product-specific policies name the relevant providers and any important data boundary:
Retention and security
We keep personal information only while it is needed to provide a service, meet a product’s stated retention period, resolve a dispute, prevent abuse, or satisfy tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Backups can retain encrypted copies for a limited recovery window after live data is deleted.
We use HTTPS in transit, access controls, restricted production credentials, backups, and application-level safeguards appropriate to each service. No security measure eliminates every risk, but we limit what we collect and who can reach it.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, export, or request deletion of personal information associated with you. You may also object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, and unsubscribe from optional email.
Send a request to contact@atrialballoon.com. Include the relevant product and account email so we can locate the data. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Some records may be retained when law or a legitimate fraud, security, accounting, or dispute need requires it.
International use and children
Our company and hosting providers are based in the United States, and other providers can process information in additional countries. By using a service from elsewhere, information may be transferred to countries with different data-protection rules, subject to the safeguards offered by the relevant provider and applicable law.
Our paid products and professional services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can remove it.
Changes
We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes that affect an existing product account will also be communicated through that product when appropriate.
